Indie Monday is:
Matt is a bit of a nerd. And, as a drummer, doesn’t posses a single ounce of a sense of direction. Seriously, ask him to meet you at the same place you meet every week and there’s a good chance he’ll get lost. Besides maintaining the site and writing reviews, he spends a good deal of time hunched over his computer (often times with a magnifying glass and deerstalker hat) scouring the interwebs for good clues…er…music to fill his ear drums.
Dan is the kind of guy that you want on your LOTR/Gray’s Anatomy (the textbook, not the syndicated television drama) trivia team. Especially if the questions are in Spanish (this is because he’s a med student, a nerd and a fluent Spanish speaker). He’s also the friendliest guy we know. Dans interests include playing guitar for local heartthrobs Great Gray Buildings, sending Matt millions of YouTube links of bands he wishes he was in and playing soccer (and calling it football). As IndieMondays resident metal-head, Dan has been known to rock Meshuggah riffs in front of the mirror when no one’s looking.
Laura
Laura is the smart one. The one with the double major in English Literature and Political Science. The one who actually knows how the English language works. The one who has the last say before anything goes up on IndieMonday so as to avoid soiling our reputations. Besides obsessing over Chicago real estate, she’s been known to spend a good deal of time reading books at a speed the rest of us have only read about in books…
Greg is a rock ‘n’ roll enthusiast moonlighting as a fundraiser in Washington, D.C. When not raising funds or writing reviews, he spends his days exploring the nation’s capitol, practicing his Pete Townsend windmill in the mirror, and trying to convince Matt that yes, Pearl Jam IS a great band.
Kimmy.
Kimmy has been following us around with her camera for years so we figured we’d just swindle her into being our staff photographer. She’s the kind of person who will forgo food so she can develop just one more roll of Holga film… yet will never say no to a good cookie. She also has a photography business, Birchblue Photography, where she shoots weddings, band promos, and puppies.

Invent an instrument that involves little-tiny-motors and sounds like no instrument you’ve ever heard in your whole entire life ever. 2.) Invent a music genre and release a book of short stories/EP combo that defines it. 3.) write reviews for IndieMonday. Yea, he’s OUR Kevin and you can’t have him.
